Home Again (sleeps 4)

This Victorian former School House is full of character and history. Situated in unspoilt North Norfolk countryside, you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax, go for walks or cycle from the door.

Close to Wolterton, Mannington Hall , Oxnead Hall and National Trust Estates Blickling & Felbrigg

There are high ceilings, an original arts & crafts fireplace, exposed beams, and perhaps the highlight, stone doorsteps that show the wear of many children's feet over the years.

A former classroom is now the main living area, with double-height windows giving an airy and bright feel to the room, comfy seating around the fire, a large dining table with places for six, and an upright piano for anything from chopsticks to Chopin.

The kitchen has a built-in electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, tumble dryer and washing machine.

The spacious master bedroom, with en-suite shower room, is on the ground floor, plus a double bedroom, twin bedroom and family bathroom upstairs. There is also a cloakroom with washbasin and WC downstairs.

Outside, the main garden consists of a lawn, patio and a south-facing sheltered alfresco dining area and BBQ. To the front there is a small west-facing lawned terrace, a super place to watch the evening sun go down. There is also a further graveled area with bicycle rack. The entire garden is enclosed with lockable gates.

Sorry, strictly no smoking.  As with many character properties, ceiling heights and doorways are lower than today's new homes - please take care when moving around the cottage.
